Dive Nanny Adventures
The founder of Dive Nanny Adventures, Bethy Driscoll, is recognized for working with children with learning delays and divers who want to learn outside the box. Prior to diving, Bethy worked as a special education teacher assistant where she mentored kids ages 5 – 18 at Vista Hill in San Diego. The school recognized her upbeat attitude, dedication to each child’s learning program, and patience by awarding her Teacher of the Year while working in the classroom and afterschool program. In 2009, she discovered SCUBA Diving and after taking her first breath underwater she has dedicated her life to our aquatic world and showing people safe ways to explore it.
Shortly after earning her PADI Divemaster and Instructor rating, she was nicknamed The Dive Nanny. She continued working with kids in special education programs and implemented her previous occupational therapy training towards kids seeking aquatic adventure. Not only does she love teaching children how to safely dive, but ultimately encourages them to continue diving locally and on vacation. Parents began asking her to join them while their family traveled to help nanny their loved ones above and below the water.
After witnessing the amazing benefits offered to both kids and parents, she knew that this was something special! By training and traveling with kids of all ages, she is able to encourage our next generation to explore & protect our planet through diving! With over a decade of dive training, she sought additional dive professionals who specialize working with water-families! This is how Dive Nanny Adventures was born!
